As much as I love Normal and Towanda and all that jazz, really nothing beats a good day out in Manhattan. Today I had a gait analysis and bought a new pair of sweet running shoes, and was able to find a sports bra that is only sold in 4 locations in the country. Big win. I even started my Christmas shopping, and was successfully seduced by Whole Foods. I think I'm becoming a hippie. No for real...

Oi! The Pain!

Today was City Chase. It was much more physically demanding than I had anticipated, plus it was hot and crazy humid. We had to complete 10 of 25 tasks located all over Manhattan (all of the locations were only given to us in clues - hope you know stuff about the city you're in, otherwise you're screwed) in 6 hours. The goal was to finish, and we did! And we had a whole 4 minutes to spare! Given the fact we pretty much couldn't walk, sticking around to drink and eat at much-too-crowded Webster Hall wasn't too appealing. Gave away our drink tickets and hopped on the ferry home. While this is a somewhat expensive event, it's totally worth the entry fee. Great day, great way to see the city. Ran into 2 folks wearing Illinois gear, and a couple kids from Peoria!

Ugly Illini win, but I'll take it. OSU looks completely outmatched by USC. Whoops.

My poor Cardinals are looking more and more out of it...:(
